MBA Accounting and Finance
The Programme is designed to prepare successful applicants to assume a larger role in strategically managing their organizations’ financial and other key resources. The philosophy of the university to blend scholarship with practical based teaching and learning. The programme therefore aims is to develop students’ expertise in key financial areas while also developing their business and leadership skills.

Entry Requirements for Admission
The University shall admit candidates with different academic backgrounds to the MBA Programme. Qualified applicants are admitted to programmes at the beginning of the first semester. The various categories of candidates to be considered for admission into the programme in the University will possess either of the following qualifications:
- A first degree from a recognized university/institution.
Recognized full professional qualification such as:
- Chartered Institute of Bankers,
- Association of Certified Chartered Economist,
- Association of Certified Chartered Accountants,
- Institutes of Chartered Accountants
- Chartered Institute of Marketing,
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators,
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply chain Management
All applicants may be required to go through a selection interview. International students with qualifications equivalent to those above may be considered for admission. The equivalent of such qualifications will however be determined by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana. The medium of instruction shall be English Language.
Details of the Curriculum
This is an 18 months Programme taken over 4 semesters. It consists of core courses, prescriptive mandatory courses, research component, competency-based learning, practical-based learning and problem solving components incorporated into specific courses. General skills are also assessed through the interim and final assessments.
